Double your donations to AVES with 1% for the Planet

AVES France is an association that we are happy to introduce to you. We met through the 1% for the planet network. 

The association works in the territories and with farmers to protect nature and wild animals. One of its missions is to improve the cohabitation between human activities and nature, by supporting farmers affected by bear or wolf predation.

As the association explains, " Since 1992, the wolf has been making a natural comeback in France. Yet we are still not ready to welcome them back. 

Christophe Coret, president and co-founder of the AVES association, explains: " More and more départements are affected by the arrival of the wolf. It has to besaid that herd protection measures are systematically deployed as a matter of urgency, following attacks that have exacerbated tensions between breeders and wolf protectors. What's more, regulatory texts have been drafted on the basis of the mountain farming model. They are often ill-suited to farming on the plains, which does not have the same constraints. 

Faced with this situation, AVES France wishes to help farmers in Normandy and Nièvre to set up means of protecting their herds. This will include fencing and light and sound scaring devices. 

With the support of a partner specialising in security, the association proposes the development of innovative means with a view to wider deployment on a national scale.

1% for the planet, of which we are partners, has selected the "Wolf in the Plain" project in its matching funds programme. So each of your donations to AVES is doubled!

This 1% for the planet matching programme is open until 6 October with a limit of €2500.

Then 1% for the Planet will be holding its philanthropic event "Meetings for the Planet" on 5 and 6 October. This will be an opportunity for all the selected environmental associations to meet the patrons and present their projects. 

With only 1€ you can act and help the AVES association to obtain the approval for the protection of the environment. Indeed, this approval is essential for the association, because it will allow it to better defend nature and wild animals in court.
