ANTS

Disability

Presentation

The ANTS association aims to facilitate the inclusion of people with neuromotor disabilities by combining sport and health with pleasure thanks to new technologies based on electrostimulation.

ANTS was founded in 2015 on the initiative of Vance Bergeron, Research Director at
Laboratoire de Physique (ENS Lyon) and quadriplegic. The project was created by and for
people. It relies on collaborations with the medical profession and the
scientific community.

Our missions

  • Making the latest innovations accessible to people with motor disabilities
  • Promoting access to technological advances as a vehicle for inclusion
  • Supporting innovators to accelerate technology transfer for improved quality of life

Our vision

Let's work together to innovate for a more inclusive society. ANTS offers concrete solutions for people with neuromotor disabilities to overcome them. The aim is to improve their quality of life and health through the use of adapted physical activity and new technologies. The needs of the users are the driving force behind the actions implemented.

Our values

ANTS is driven by the values of empathy, joy, autonomy and integrity.

Project: La salle S.P.O.R.T., a unique venue in France

In 2018, ANTS created a unique venue in Lyon: the S.P.O.R.T. room. This is the first
physical activity room adapted to motor disabilities in France, which makes unique functional electrostimulation equipment available to users,
. Users are supervised by adapted physical activity teachers, who set up personalized
programs based on individual needs, expectations and abilities.

The aim is to maximise physical potential, reduce secondary illnesses linked to disability and rediscover the pleasure of doing sport, thanks to innovative technologies and adapted equipment.

ANTS now wants to develop other such rooms throughout France!
