Cœur de Forêt is an association for the preservation of forests in France and abroad, which has been working since 2005 on the causes of deforestation and forest degradation.

The association intervenes internationally, through programs to restore degraded forest ecosystems, to support small producers towards sustainable agriculture and forestry, to develop fair trade channels as well as to raise awareness among local populations. In France, it has been working since 2017 to propose alternatives to forest degradation as well as to make citizens and small forest owners actors in forest preservation.

Since 2005, Cœur de Forêt has planted over 2.5 million trees of 250 different species. More than 20,000 beneficiaries have benefited from the various projects, and 33 new products have been developed (essential oils, honey, coffee, vanilla, etc.).

Cœur de Forêt's approach is designed to meet the complex challenges of deforestation by combining environmental, social and economic parameters. This holistic approach is based on a long-term vision in which the association works alongside local populations over the long term, through local branches staffed by local employees and French volunteers. This sustainability ensures that plantations and forest management are monitored over time, that budgets are managed transparently, and that the impact of actions is increased by reaching new beneficiaries over the years.
